Sponsor | digits | May 2, 4:14pm | Anyone familiar with Entrecard? I newly signed up yesterday and it may be something that could help you gain traffic or in the least exposure. It's not a referral system so don't think this is spam. :)
It took me several minutes and then I still had to watch the demo to get into an understanding of what it was about.
Apparently it's like an internet business card system. We go visit sites - I have seen them mostly on blogs so far - and then we click the *Drop* we see on their widget - usually in their side bar. It goes into *their* inbox drops so we may get reciprocal traffic.
We can also get Entrecard credits. 1 EC per drop we make and 1 EC when someone drops theirs to us. With these credits we can *buy* advertising space for a day on someone else's website.
The reason I signed up with EntreCard is because I was signing up under someone for something else and they offered 2100 EC's for Entrecacd. THIS is why I signed up for Entrecard. I also think it cannot be that much of a waste of time if I see it EVERYWHERE.
Anyway, I think it's a good concept and wanted to share.
PS> MY Entrecard ID - or if you go to my site you can see it in the right hand column scrolling down a bit. You sill see the "DROP" underneath my *Site for the Day* [who is an ad I approved from Entrecard because I am new and cheap right now. LoL]. |

Sponsor | charlesFHI | May 4, 9:10pm | | I just took it off of my blog. If you spend 10 minutes or so a day bouncing from blog to blog you will get some traffic thats bounces on your site. Maybe 1% will stick around for a page view or so. Maybe 1/1000 will become a regular reader. I think that your time MIGHT be better spent creating content.....but give it a try, some people get great results. |
